MY WORKING DAY

You will learn to speak about your working day, use the Present

Continuous and Past Continuous tenses at a more advanced level.

You will do some exercises to improve your speaking, reading,

listening and writing skills.

1. Memorize the following words and phrases:

MYWORKING DAY

I spendmyweekdays in amore or less ordinaryway. In fact, I amvery busy on

my weekdays. As a rule my classes at academy start at 8 o’clock in the morning

so I get up early. My alarm clock wakes me up at 6.15 sharp. Frankly speaking,

I am not an early riser and it is difficult for me to get out of bed. It doesn’t take

me long to make my bed and after that I go to the bathroom. I brush my teeth

and comb my hair. Then I have breakfast. Breakfast, as doctors say, must be the

most substantial meal of the day. But I am always in a hurry in the morning, so I

usually have some sandwiches or fried eggs and a cup of tea or coffee.

I leave for academy at half past seven. I catch a tram and it takes me 15

minutes to

get to academy. On my way to academy I often meet my friends
