Admission Department of the hospital

The main functions of the hospital admission Department are:

• reception and registration of patients;

• primary examination of patients, anthropometry (Fig.1);

• sanitary and hygienic procedures of newly admitted patients;

• emergency medical care;

• transportation of patients to the Departments for tretment.

Patients are delivered to the reception Department

by emergency

(Emergency medical team) or in a planned manner (in the

direction of the doctor of the clinic), it is also possible to

self-access

.

All medical documentation is issued by the nurses of the admission

Department after the examination of the patient by the doctor and the decision

of the issue of hospitalization of the patient in this medical institution.

If the patient is taken to the admission office in a severe condition, then he should

be provided with the necessary medical care and then registered. If the patient is

unable to provide all the information necessary for registration, they are obtained

from the accompanying persons and medical personnel of the emergency brigade.

After the end of the examination of the patient, the doctor fills in The

medical card of the patient (Case history), diagnoses on admission, notes the

need for sanitary procedures, determines the Department where the patient will

be hospitalized, and the method of its transportation (Fig.2).
