21 There are two halls of residence for students who come from different parts of Russia. Accommodation is quite cheap but not very comfortable that is why some students prefer renting a flat. The academy has facilities for indoor and outdoor sports, so if you want you can do fitnes, aerobics, volleyball or bodybuilding in two gyms. Now a few words about the administration of the academy. The rector is the head of it. The rector has three assistants: for academic work, for re‑ search work and for medical work. The faculty is the major administrative unit which in turn has many departments. The faculty is headed by the dean. The dean has one or more assistants. Professor or assistant professor heads the department. The staff, which includes about 400 members, works at 52 departments. The staff largely consists of professors, assistant professors, lecturers, teach‑ ing doctors and laboratory workers. The thing I like best about Izhevsk Medical Academy is the study environ‑ ment. Highly qualifie lecturers take an active interest in the student’s needs and are always ready to help students gain better knowledge and practical skills for their future career success. I must admit that though it is hard to learn medicine, because it really takes much time and energy, I’m proud of being a student of Izhevsk State Medical Academy and I enjoy studying here. 6.
