8 Admission Department of the hospital The main functions of the hospital admission Department are: • reception and registration of patients; • primary examination of patients, anthropometry (Fig.1); • sanitary and hygienic procedures of newly admitted patients; • emergency medical care; • transportation of patients to the Departments for tretment. Patients are delivered to the reception Department by emergency (Emergency medical team) or in a planned manner (in the direction of the doctor of the clinic), it is also possible to self-access . Anthropometry All medical documentation is issued by the nurses of the admission Department after the examination of the patient by the doctor and the decision of the issue of hospitalization of the patient in this medical institution. If the patient is taken to the admission office in a severe condition, then he should be provided with the necessary medical care and then registered. If the patient is unable to provide all the information necessary for registration, they are obtained from the accompanying persons and medical personnel of the emergency brigade.
