Take the pipette to the right hand, fixing it with your thumb, index and middle fingers, press the rubber cap and put the desired amount of medicine into the pipette. 5. Pull the lower eyelid by your left hand with a cotton ball. 6.With the thumb of the right hand, press the cap of the pipette and from a distance of 2–3 cm, drip 1–2 drops into the lower arch of the conjunctiva closer to the outer junction of the eyelids. Keep the pipette at an angle of 40–45° to the eye (do not bring the pipette close to the conjunctiva). 7. Ask the patient to close his eyes. 8. Blot the edges of the eyelids with a ball from the outside to the inside corner of the eye. 9. Repeat steps 5 to 9 if it is necessary to drip drops into the other eye. 10. Make sure the patient is not uncomfortable after the procedure. 11. Wash your hands. Ways of using of ointments are different: applying a thin layer to the skin, rubbing into the skin, ointment bandages. The method of application of ointment is determined by the doctor. Introduction of drugs by inhalation The introduction of drugs into the body during breathing in is called inhalation. By inhalation method drugs are administered through the nose and mouth. The nurse should teach the patient to the introduction the drugs by inhalation method, because he performs this procedure usually independently.
