4 1. PROCEDURE AND RULES OF PREPARING THE RESEARCH PAPER 1.1. Preparation of the research paper must begin with the collection and study of materials (primary sources of information) related to the topic of work. Depending on the topic of the paper, the materials can be theoretical sources (scientific and educational literature, press materials), laws and regulations, etc. 1.2. After becoming acquainted with the materials on the topic of the paper, a student should draw up a plan of the paper and agree it with the faculty member. The paper plan should be consistent, logical and allowing the student to develop the selected theme fully. 1.3. After agreeing the abstract plan, the student should start working at the text of the paper. In the introductory part it is necessary to demonstrate the topicality of the selected theme, to state the purpose and tasks set for the work. The main part of the paper should contain an analysis of various scientific points of view on the problem under consideration, a study of the practice of applying legal norms in specific situations. The final part of the paper presents the student’s own conclusions and the ways of solving the analyzed problems. 1.4. The list of references is made in accordance with the requirements of GOST (State Standard) 7.1–2003 “Bibliographic record. Bibliographic description. General requirements and rules of compilation”. It is recommended to use at least 7 sources, among them not less than 2 legal documents; not less than 5 sources of scientific literature. 2. REQUIREMENTS FOR THE DESIGN OF PAPERS 2.1. The work is performed in the MS Word 2013. The design uses Times New Roman font No. 12 or No. 14. Line spacing is 1 or 1.5. Margins: left – 3 cm; right – 1 cm, upper and lower – 2 cm. 2.2. Each part of the work begins with a new page (nothing is printed on the back of the page), sections are placed one after another. The names of the chapters are written in capital letters, the titles of sections are lowercase; full stops are not put at the ends of the headings. Page numbers should be at the bottom of the page, in the middle of the line, in Arabic numerals. According
