Nursing assessment has three aspects: • assessment of the degree of achievement of the goal, which allows you to measure the quality of care; • assessment of the patient’s response to nursing intervention; • active search and evaluation of new patient problems. To assess the quality of assistance provided, the expected results are compared with the results achieved. If the intended goals are not achieved, then an analysis of all stages of the nursing process is performed in search of an error or a factor that in- terferes with the achievement of the planned goal. If the end result is not successful, the nursing process begins again with the first stage, but the goal of nursing care may be changed, the timing may be revised, or the nursing plan may be changed.
